TONIGHT, Saturday, 12 March, 2022 McQ’s upstairs at Coady’s is hosting a fundraising spectacular for the war-torn victims of Ukraine. Free entry, doors 7pm and donations welcome.
Two of my favourite bands are the star acts: Aye Hobos who I last saw playing a magnificent show in Tappie Toories and Birrell or Biscuit who I last saw in a drunken rabble as I tried to conduct a photoshoot in advance of their Dinnerladies tour.

I prefer the name McQuillan’s
McQ’s is named after Willie McQuillan a truly great guy who I grew up knowing and met again regularly in recent years, mostly in Coady’s. Here in part is a tribute from Pete Agnew of Nazareth.

I love this Joe thank you so much, I knew you were experienced in marketing and advertising but this is totally of the scale, well done and a big thank you to all the bands for entertaining us in aid of a worthy charity, I am so proud to be a part of this thank you all.
