Invited to Whanga Records’ studio to shoot stills during the gig to film TwinsTown performing Callum Paterson’s Broken Song, Craig Birrell, co-founder of the label, asked me to shoot some video. I did but deleted it weeks later when I thought no one wanted it.
Months later the other co-founder of Whanga Records, Stuart Barrett, asked me if I could do something with the footage shot by Cob Harrower and I did.
TwinsTown – Callum Paterson’s Broken Song (Official Video)
The stills are from big Barrett and Callum’s Facebook page and the video clips shot by me from old Facebook video. Barrett says it’s like watching old memories and that’s pretty much the effect I wanted.
Callum sent TwinsTown’s Stuart Mackay the demo of Broken Song expertly mixed into the track while the stills are showing. I’m assuming Craig Birrell is responsible for the mix as it’s a Whanga Records production.
The video was released to coincide with what would have been Callum’s 32nd birthday and I wrote a blog to remember Callum on twins-town.com and here is the link.

I’ll be shooting stills at Whanga Records again this Friday. Tickets for the gig are still available.
RIP Callum.
